Arriving in Taipei
The next leg of our journey found us in Taipei, Taiwan for a four day exploration of the city and a rendezvous with our dear friends and traveling companions Carol and Charlie Stevens. It was a long day of travel beginning at 8:00am in Cebu, Philippines and concluding in Taipei, Taiwan at 11:00pm. After two flights, a five hour layover in Manila, a train ride from the airport to Taipei, and a taxi ride from the train station to our hotel with the help of seven taxi drivers to figure out where the hotel was and understand what we were trying to say in English we were exhausted. Thankfully Carol and Charlie know us so well they procured a fine bottle of beer to help ease our tired backs and feet after a long day of traveling.
