Maokong Gondola in Taipei
On our first full day in Taipei we hopped on the metro and made our way to the Taipei Zoo where you can grab a ticket for the Maokong Gondola. The gondola takes you 2km up into the mountains where you can grab a famous Taiwan style sausage, see tea plantations, and enjoy a cup of locally grown tea in traditional Taiwanese style tea shop. On our ride up we opted for the glass floor gondola cabin. It was an amazing site to see the forest floor a hundred meters below you as you steadily climb the mountain. It was a perfect way to get a beautiful view of Taipei while enjoying a smooth and relaxing ride.
