Vietnam Independence Museum

The Vietnam Independence Museum was formerly the presidential palace prior to Vietnamese independence. After the war the palace was turned into the museum. The history of the museum is incredibly unique as well. It was formerly a French palace that was bombed and subsequently destroyed during the Vietnamese fight against French occupation. It was rebuilt as the current structure and served as the presidential palace for several years until the end of the war. Rooms and all the furniture contained within are all original to the palace.
