Motorbiking in Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is a rather large island. Not Greenland large mind you, but large enough that your two legs are an inefficient way of getting from point A to point B. So we decided to maximize our exploring ability and rented a motorbike. Thankfully we found an automatic (rather than manual like the Philippines - cause driving on the opposite side of the road is not distracting enough) for roughly $5 USD a day. We were able to head to the northern most part of the island as well as the southern tip whenever we wanted to. And though it does take some adjusting driving on the opposite side of the road, traffic was very low and getting around was easy. Of course we wore our helmets to keep our skulls from cracking open if we were to take an asphalt dive and, at Sarah's request I kept our speed under 40 kph. It also was good practice for when we get home and are required to drive a proper auto again. Sarah required me to call her my 'Motorcycle Momma' every time I asked her to hop on back.
