Damnoe Saduak Floating Market, Bangkok
For our last activity/tour on our 4 month journey we opted to explore the workings and shops of the Damnoe Saduak Floating Market. Billed as the "Original Floating Market," Damnoe is an hour and half away from Bangkok. Having that distance between you and the craziness of Bangkok I thought the market would be laid back and mainly populated by locals. How wrong I was. Over the years the market has turned into another type of tourist destination that doesn't really offer a

Hair Extensions Senpom Salon, Bangkok
I knew that I wanted my hair to be easy and comfortable during our 4 month journey throughout SE Asia, so I grew my hair into a pony tail before we left the states. Since I've enjoyed the change of having longer locks, I decided to commit to the continued growth. With that, my hair is super fine and needs the extra body when it's grown past my shoulders, so I've always beefed it up with extensions whenever I go longer. To avoid the stringy mess it had started to become, I

Khaosan Road, Bangkok
If you're on the backpacking circuit or even a serial traveler chances are you've heard about Khaosan Road if you've been to Bangkok. Located in central Bangkok, Khaosan Road is a kilometer long side street packed full of budget hotels and hostels, bars and clubs at every turn of the head, vendors selling all sorts of wares that spill over the sidewalk and into the streets when the sun goes down. At dark the road closes to traffic and becomes one large party. It really can

Beast Burger
We had heard that Beast Burger was a number one food truck 'must try' in Chiang Mai. So when we fell upon their new brick and mortar restaurant, we decided to check it out. They did not disappoint! Fantastic burger and fries that rivals the best from back in the states. We can see why this place is so popular! Photos courtesy of my iPhone. #Thailand

City Life in Chiang Mai
We've said it before, we will say it again... we love this city!!!! The endless restaurants, pretty lights, night markets, and breezy roof top views just can't be beat. Here are just a few images from our night out on the town. #Thailand

Food 4 Thought Cafe, Chiang Mai
I'm so glad we decided to visit this adorable little healthy cafe while staying in Chiang Mai. Food 4 Thought has become somewhat of an institution among healthy food lovers here in Chiang Mai. While off the beaten path from where we were staying in the Nimman area, it was worth the walk. Fresh, organic food made to order from scratch. I was so excited to see the Burmese Tea Leaf Salad wrap on the menu, as it's my favorite dish from Myanmar. Steven's salad was just gorge

Hot Air Balloon, Chiang Mai
The morning of our anniversary began with a wonderful card exchange and a surprise that topped any surprise I've ever had. For the duration of our journey we've wanted to experience a hot air balloon ride. During our first visit to Chiang Mai we almost pulled the trigger on it but decided to wait since we found out you're able to do a sunrise ride over the temples of Bagan in Mayanmar. Unfortunately in Bagan right before the rainy season is the hottest time of the year and

Our Anniversary in Chiang Mai
Every birthday or anniversary is like xmas morning for us. As soon as we wake up we just know there is a little special something for us to celebrate the occasion. Steve and I love cards, so I knew our anniversary in Chiang Mai would be no different. Both of us found time to sneak away and pick out the perfect card. Steven modified his a bit, as he usually does:) He also gave me the most HILARIOUS lady bird book. It was great. On the card I gave Steven I took a stab at

Molan Textile & Fashion Exhibition, Chiang Mai
While picking up groceries at the nearby Maya Mall in Chiang Mai, which is an incredible place by the way, we noticed a fashion show set up outside. When we inquired what was going on, they said we could attend the fashion show later that evening. So they put us on the list and we swung by later to see some of the show. Needless to say it was an awesome event to be part of. #Thailand

Our Condo in Chiang Mai
We had to return to Chaing Mai. Not just because we were tired of island life, but because it is one of our favorite cities in SE Asia and we wanted to be in a place we loved to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Once again Sarah found a great Air B&B apartment in the Nimman area for us to call home for five days. The Liv@Nimman condo complex was perfect. Right near the hip and trendy area of Nimman, a stones throw from excellent shopping at Maya Mall, and luxury ame
